EMPOWERMENT FOR LIFE
The Empowerment for Life (E4L) Programme is in its 5th phase and being implemented in a collaboration between 4 Ghanaian organisations and the Danish organisation Ghana Friends.

The E4L Programme integrates four thematic focus areas; education, youth empowerment, governance and not least climate change resilience, which CLIP is in charge of implementing and developing.

Programme Objective
Civil society in Northern Ghana contributes to improved resilience, equity and more accountable governance in Ghana.

Outcomes
There are four main outcome areas in the program:

Outcome 1: CSOs engage state actors for more transparent, accountable and responsive governance

will address the prolific misconceptions around livestock herders and the Fulani community, to reinforce social cohesion and prepare northern communities for the arrival of refugee herder communities (training module around livestock herding used to conduct informed debates between communities + distribution of ID cards to transhumant herders to reduce fear among local populations and facilitate movement for herders).

Outcome 2: CSOs advocate for transformative education and equitable allocation and distribution of educational resources to rural primary schools.

Outcome 3: Youth have increased employability and advocate for their inclusion in decision making processes at local and national level

Outcome 4: Climate vulnerable communities use climate resilience strategies and technologies to increase agricultural adaptability and have improved livelihoods.

Budget, Partners & Duration
The project has a budget of 5.200.000€ and coordinated by Ghana Friends and funded by CISU
The main partners are: CLIP, GDCA, YEFL and School for Life
